tread softly on my dreams...

Had I the heavens' embroidered cloths,
Enwrought with golden
and silver light,

The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and the half-light,
I would spread the cloths under your feet:
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly

because
you
tread on my dreams.

I love everything dreams and dreaming. And who in the world doesn't worship at the feet of Yeats? Thanks for sharing these lovely words, and this great image of life in our ever-fascinating universe!

NOTHING about your blog is ever nor could ever be "tiresome", my precious friend. There are two blogs on here where I go to really "feel" and to reclaim serenity--yours and Nevine's...I adore you and I LOVE YOUR BLOG!!!!!!
Much, Much Love,
Deborah

Did you know that ol' W.B. was an Irish senator and founded the Abbey Theatre? What a soul, that one! To find not one, but TWO Yeats lovers in one day is almost more than I can bear...Oh, the unbearable lightness of being!
Much Love,
Deborah

He had a long romance with the Golden Dawn if I remember rightly.
I wonder what he made of A.Crowley.
