Lone in the light of a magical wood,
Soul-deep in visions that poppy-like sprang;
And spirits of Truth were the birds that sang,
And spirits of Love were the stars that glowed,
And spirits of Peace were the streams that flowed
In that magical wood in the land of sleep.

this is beautiful and leads me to wonder why this beauty and truth is existent so much more often in our sleep and dreams than in our waking lives...

Surreal. Looks like a day dedicated to quotes from India.
Cheers.
In a world of chaos beauty still prevails. I would love to walk in this poppy field barefoot. And I do believe that the spirits of Truth, Love and Peace exist amongst nature in real life for us to take notice. Beautiful post :)
because, i think, linda, with sleep comes barriers to the chaos of life awake - barriers to the distractions of meaninglessness - with sleep comes the PURE US - the US in touch with the REAL beauty of ourselves of others of this universe and of all the other universes and possibilities - thank you for finding such words to this little quip from my yesterday!
susan deborah - you know, eastern philosophy has more the vision of truth and beauty for me - thank you for coming by and leaving such thoughtful notes - and accept my apologies for having been away from my own responses to others here for a few days - but i'll be over your way very soon! thank you again!
namaste' -
absolutely, SP - enough so that i, like you can actually feel myself running barefoot through these magnificent flowers - nature being the cradle for all beauty! thanks so much for coming by - i'll be over to your place 'fore the day is up - namaste' - j
