aristotle and plato on dreams
The Greeks thought that dreams were a means to be receptive to thought, a way to be telepathic. They also believed that dreams were a means for communicating with spirits or ghosts. Around 350 B.C., the Greek philosopher Aristotle determined that dreams came from within the Self. This was a revolutionary idea because until that time it was widely believed that dreams came from outside of Self rather than welling up from within. Aristotle’s work spanned the nature of consciousness beyond the physical and for his incredible insight historical accounts have remembered him as the father of metaphysics. Plato, a contemporary and student of Aristotle, took these ideas a bit farther. My dreams have been vivid and crazy lately. It reminds me that sometimes they do dream workshops at the Cayce Institute in Virginia Beach. I should go take one of those workshops at some point ...
oh, wow! my dreams have been lately, too - enough so that i have been instructing myself not to remember my dreams of late - doesn't that workshop sound wonderful!!!
I have also had very vivid dreams, one was about being in a world of other people's manifestations and managing them...was truly illuminating.
hmmmm....very intriguing! being in others' manifestations PLUS managing them!

oh, trish - i forgot - when i first found this image it SO reminded me of the GIRL IN THE YELLOW dress at my home - the girl with her back to me and the long dark hair - and the color tones of the image - aside from the surreal nature of the overall content - anyway, she reminds me of the girl in the yellow dress!
